We’re recruiting for a Home Manager with a well-established elderly care service on the South Coast. The home is dual-registered for residential and nursing, with a steady team and a long-standing reputation, but it now needs someone ready to take the reins and lead confidently.

This isn’t a ‘quick fix’ post. The right structure is in place, but what’s needed now is a Registered Manager who can bring consistency, clarity, and real operational control, someone who knows what ‘good’ looks like and is ready to build on solid foundations.

You’ll be the face of the service day to day. That means more than maintaining standards, owning the outcome, setting the tone, and being a visible, trusted leader across clinical and non-clinical teams.

Home Manager | Elderly Care (Residential & Nursing) | South Coast | £55K + Bonus

As the Home Manager, you will:

  • Lead all aspects of care delivery, compliance, audits, staffing, and day-to-day operations
  • Supervise and develop a mixed team including nurses, clinical leads, and care staff
  • Oversee risk management, training, safeguarding, and quality assurance systems
  • Build strong relationships with families, external professionals, and inspectors
  • Stay inspection-ready, not just reactive when things go wrong
  • Develop your team’s confidence, capability, and culture from the inside out
  • Report to a hands-off but supportive regional team that’ll back your leadership
This role would be ideal if you.
  • Are already a Manager in a residential or nursing home (or a confident Deputy ready to step up)
  • Have solid experience in elderly care and understand both clinical and operational pressures.
  • Hold an active NMC pin (or has held one previously) and is confident in leading clinical staff.
  • Have a clear understanding of CQC expectations and a track record of navigating inspections.
  • Lead by example, steady under pressure, strong on systems, and clear on outcomes.
  • Wants absolute ownership of a service, with the support to lead properly
In return, you will receive
  • A salary of up to £55,000 per annum
  • Performance-related bonus scheme
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Paid DBS, company pension, life insurance
  • Same-day pay (if needed) and free on-site parking
  • Ongoing CPD, access to funded qualifications, and in-house e-learning
  • A chance to take full leadership of a respected service and be recognised for the work you do

If you’re currently holding things together but not getting the credit, or you’re ready for a move where your leadership will actually matter, this could be a strong next step.

Apply by sending your CV and a short summary of your leadership experience to: ebeleo@snghealthcare.co.uk  Or reach out to Ebele Ossai, Recruitment Director, on 02380 118228 for a confidential chat.
