Salary: Up to £14.50 per hour + enhanced rates for evenings and weekends

Your Role:
As a Support Worker, you’ll provide tailored support to young people in care settings, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering Person-Centred Care: Assisting with daily routines such as personal care, cooking, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
  • Behavioural Support: Managing behaviours that challenge through de-escalation techniques and effective strategies aligned with individual care plans.
  • Building Relationships: Offering emotional support and building trust to help young people develop resilience and self-confidence.
  • Promoting Life Skills: Supporting young people in developing independence, including budgeting, communication, and decision-making.
  • Ensuring Safeguarding: Identifying and escalating safeguarding concerns while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Collaborating with Teams: Working alongside social workers, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience: At least 6 months experience working with young people (12–18), particularly with EBD or challenging behaviors.
  • Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and resilience when working with children with complex needs.
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS and eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
  • Desirable: A Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Driving Licence Preferred: Not essential, but helpful for travel between settings.
