We are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and motivated CQC Registered Manager to join our client’s team, based in Southampton. your role is to provide the highest quality of care and support to those with Autism and Asperger’s, Learning Disabilities, and additional needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring that all services are delivered to the highest standard, meet all relevant CQC and legislative requirements, and that the welfare and dignity of each service user are maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all services provided meet the required standards and regulations and meet the needs of service users, in line with CQC standards.
- Develop, implement and monitor care plans for each service user, ensuring that their individual needs are met.
- Ensure that all staff are adequately trained and understand their duties and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external bodies including CQC, local authorities and other relevant organisations.
- Lead and manage a team of staff, providing support and guidance, setting performance targets and monitoring performance.
- Ensure that all staff adhere to the policies and procedures of the service.
- Develop and maintain a quality assurance framework, including carrying out audits and reviews of services.
- Oversee the recruitment, induction and training of new staff.
- Carry out performance reviews and appraisals of staff.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring that all relevant information is updated and reported in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all service users are safeguarded and their welfare is promoted.
- Identify and manage any risks associated with services.
- Attend meetings, reviews and other related activities as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years experience as a Registered Manager or equivalent role, in a similar environment – Autism / Asperger’s, LD.
- Excellent knowledge of care standards and regulations
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to deal with challenging situations and people in a professional manner
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Computer literacy
