SNG Healthcare is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager for a children’s residential home in Southport. Requirements

Must have the right to live and work in the UK

Must hold a full UK driving license

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) required for qualified rate

At least 2 years’ experience in a senior role within a children’s residential care setting

Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
About the Role
you will lead a residential care team supporting children and young people aged 7–17. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring that all care is delivered in accordance with the Home’s Statement of Purpose and in line with a commitment to service quality and equality.
You will provide strong and effective leadership, ensuring that the home meets high standards of care, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will also build positive relationships with young people, families, professionals, and the wider community.
This role includes out-of-hours support and participation in the on-call rota.
Key Responsibilities

Represent the service to external stakeholders and develop strong working relationships with professionals, families, and local agencies

Lead, supervise, and develop the care team to deliver safe and nurturing residential care

Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and quality standards

Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and reviews to meet individual needs

Create and maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment

Respond to feedback and use it to drive continuous improvement
-
Ensure all written materials (Statement of Purpose, Children’s Guide, etc.) are accurate and up-to-date
