Residential Support Worker | Children’s Residential | Lymington
SNG Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker (RCW) to join a children’s residential home in Lymington. This full-time role offers the opportunity to provide trauma-informed care using the PACE approach (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) within a safe and nurturing environment, helping young people grow, develop life skills, and achieve positive outcomes.
Job Title: Support Worker – RCW – Children’s Residential
Location: Lymington
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 (plus sleeps)
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time, 40 hours per week (shifts typically 2 on)

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our children’s residential team. You will support the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care using the PACE method (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) to help children feel safe, understood, and supported in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering care in line with company policies, Quality Standards for Children’s Homes, and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
- Creating a safe, supportive, and structured environment that promotes emotional well-being, health, education, and personal development
- Working collaboratively with other agencies to develop and implement individual care plans and risk assessments
- Acting as a key worker, helping young people build life skills, independence, and resilience, while prioritising their views, wishes, and emotional needs
- Supporting children through trauma, challenging behaviours, and difficult experiences with empathy, patience, and consistency
This role requires flexibility, including sleep-in duties, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
