We’re recruiting for a confident, emotionally intelligent Registered Manager to take ownership of a newly acquired 6-bed residential service with adjoining supported living units in Finchley (North London). This full-time, permanent role offers a rare opportunity to set the tone from day one, stabilise a service with legacy challenges, and build a strong, respectful culture that balances compliance with care.

The provider is well-versed in supported living but new to residential care, and the current setup needs calm, consistent leadership. This is a Monday–Friday position with the opportunity to shape the long-term direction of the service. You’ll be backed by a hands-on Director and supported by part-time deputies who need clear, present mentorship.

This is a values-led, people-first service, and your leadership will have a direct impact on culture, credibility, and the CQC trajectory.

Registered Manager | Residential & Supported Living | Finchley, North London | £45–55K

As Registered Manager, you will:

  • Hold operational accountability for the residential and supported living services
  • Oversee daily care delivery, safeguarding, audits, rotas, and CQC readiness
  • Line-manage and mentor the wider care team
  • Lead on compliance, record-keeping, documentation, and improvement planning
  • Foster a respectful, culturally aware environment where staff feel valued
  • Build relationships with families, QA teams, local professionals, and regulators
  • Help embed consistent systems and governance with input from a wider team

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Registered Manager or equivalent CQC-regulated roles
  • NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards)
  • Proven experience in residential and/or supported living settings
  • Strong understanding of the CQC inspection process, safeguarding, and documentation
  • Confident mentoring deputies and embedding accountability within a team
  • Able to manage sensitive cultural dynamics and lead with empathy and structure
  • Based within a commutable distance to Finchley or willing to travel reliably
