We’re hiring a Deputy Manager for a well-established CQC-regulated adult residential care service in the South East. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone already stepping up in a care leadership role who’s ready for more responsibility. With strong systems and a stable senior team already in place, the home needs a reliable and hands-on leader who can manage the day-to-day delivery of high-quality care and keep things running smoothly when it counts.

Deputy Manager | Adult Residential Service | South East | Competitive Salary + Contribution Recognition

As the Deputy Manager, you will:

  • Lead day-to-day care delivery alongside the Registered Manager
  • Coordinate shift planning, task allocation, and real-time adjustments to cover or routines
  • Support handovers, medication processes, resident updates, and incident reporting
  • Offer clear, visible leadership on the floor, modelling expectations for support workers and newer staff
  • Act as a key contact point for families, professionals, and visitors to the service
  • Identify early signs of drift in documentation, routines, or care practice, and take action
  • Contribute to staff supervision, training feedback, and informal coaching
  • Provide stability and presence when the Registered Manager is off-site or unavailable

This role would be ideal if you:

  • Have experience in a CQC-regulated adult care setting (residential or supported living)
  • Have already held a Deputy, Team Leader, or Acting-Up position
  • Hold a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (minimum)
  • Understand the balance between documentation, delivery, and staff accountability
  • Are confident running shifts, supporting staff, and solving problems under pressure
  • Can communicate clearly with internal teams, professionals, and families
  • Have ambitions to progress toward Registered Manager level in future

In return, you will receive:

  • A competitive salary aligned with sector benchmarks
  • Recognition for consistent contribution and leadership (not just tenure or job title)
  • A full-time, structured working pattern (final hours to be agreed with the provider)
  • Development opportunities and future progression support
  • Access to internal CPD, training resources, and Registered Manager mentoring (where relevant)
  • A stable, professional working environment with clear processes already in place

This is a frontline leadership role offering real influence over daily outcomes, team consistency, and resident experience. If you’re already leading from the floor and looking for a step that reflects your true contribution, this is worth exploring.
