Regional Quality Manager | Residential / Nursing | South England
We’re recruiting for a senior quality leadership role across a group of residential and nursing services in the South of England. The group is growing and evolving, and they now require a Regional Quality Manager to provide oversight, stability, and consistent standards across their diverse portfolio of homes for adult care (residential and nursing).
Some of the homes are settled. Others have experienced recent changes, new managers, RI ratings, or compliance gaps that need a steady hand. The setup is in place, and governance support is available. What’s needed now is someone who can lead from the front, bring clarity to managers, and raise standards across the board.
This isn’t a reactive role. You’ll be expected to build relationships, identify risks early, coach managers through complex issues, and collaborate with the senior governance team to embed a culture of consistent, inspection-ready care.
Regional Quality Manager | Adult Social Care (Residential & Nursing) | South of England | £60K + Car Allowance
As the Regional Quality Manager, you will:
- Lead on quality, compliance, audits, and CQC readiness across 10–14 services in the South
- Conduct service visits, complete in-depth audits, and provide hands-on support to Home Managers
- Investigate incidents, safeguarding alerts, and complaints with a focus on learning and improvement
- Create, implement, and track action plans post-inspection or following audit outcomes
- Support newer managers through their induction and ensure consistency across leadership teams
- Identify training needs and contribute to staff development from a quality perspective
- Monitor service-level data (audits, complaints, compliance trends) and escalate concerns early
- Collaborate with the governance, operations, and clinical leadership team to influence change
- Ensure each service maintains an inspection-ready status and a clear understanding of CQC expectations
This role would be ideal if you:
- Hold a Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care, Quality Assurance, or Leadership (or equivalent)
- Have held a senior multi-site quality or compliance role across adult social care services
- Understand CQC frameworks in detail and have led services through RI-to-Good or NOP recovery
- Are confident in carrying out service audits, quality walkthroughs, and leading post-inspection reviews
- Have experience coaching or mentoring managers who are under pressure or new in post
- Can balance warmth with authority, someone trusted by staff and respected by regulators
- Are confident working with clinical teams, even if you don’t hold an NMC pin
- Are comfortable presenting data, spotting trends, and reporting key risks to governance leads
- Are based in or able to travel regularly across the South (Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, and surrounds)
In return, you will receive:
- A salary of up to £60,000 per annum
- Monthly car allowance + mileage reimbursement
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Paid DBS, company pension, life assurance
- Access to same-day pay (if needed) and ongoing funded CPD
- Support from a stable, credible governance team that wants your input
- A chance to directly shape how quality and compliance are delivered across multiple services
If you’re a credible quality lead who wants proper ownership of your region, with a team who’ll back your decisions and let you lead, this could be a strong next move.
