We are looking for a compassionate, driven, and experienced Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed children’s home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care, compliance with regulations, and positive outcomes for children in your care.

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000
Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire
Setting: 4-bed EBD Home
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with flexibility when required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong and effective leadership to the staff team

  • Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015

  • Maintain high-quality standards of care, safeguarding, and emotional support

  • Develop individualised care plans and ensure these are implemented effectively

  • Manage the home’s budget, resources, and day-to-day operations

  • Oversee recruitment, training, and supervision of staff

  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people

  • Build positive relationships with external agencies, social workers, and families

  • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with all regulatory frameworks

  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to inspection readiness and performance outcomes


Candidate Requirements

  • Level 3 diploma in Children’s Residential Care (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work toward)

  • Experience in a children’s residential setting is essential

  • Open to candidates looking to step up into their first Registered Manager role

  • Full UK driving licence required – homes have vehicles, mostly manual


Working Pattern

  • Manager Shifts: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with flexibility when needed

  • Deputy Managers’ Rota: 2 on / 4 off rolling rota (6-week cycle), covering 7 days a week

  • Contracted Hours: 169 per month

  • Sleep-ins: Average of 7–10 per month
