Salary: £35,980.16 to £44,983.12 per annum inclusive of on-call premium
Contract Type: Permanent, 37 hours per week
Requirements
- Must have a full UK Driving Licence
- NVQ Level 4/5 in Residential or Leaving Care Management or equivalent, or commitment to complete this qualification
About the Role
The Zonal Manager will manage a cluster of supported houses for care leavers, providing essential support to the Service Manager. Key responsibilities include upholding professional standards, covering out-of-hours on-call shifts, and ensuring adherence to Supported Accommodation Regulations. The role also involves managing staff annual leave, recruitment, and financial oversight within the zone to maintain a supportive environment for young people.

Job Description
- Maintain a professional manner with young people, staff, and service users at all times.
- Assist the Service Manager by overseeing staff, managing rotas, and providing supervision as required.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and health & safety standards, creating a secure environment for young people.
- Manage budgets, address disciplinary actions, and ensure quality assurance processes are in place.
- Participate in management meetings, contributing to strategic planning and the development of the service.
- Keep accurate records and ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Facilitate regular Residents’ Meetings and quarterly Resident Consultation meetings, fostering a positive community.
- Oversee recruitment processes, conduct probation and appraisal reviews, and manage staff performance.
- Coordinate and ensure thorough risk assessments are completed, and that all care plans and files are up-to-date and monitored regularly.
