Job Title: Senior Therapeutic Carer (Driving Essential)
Location: Halifax
Salary: Starting at £35,120 per annum.
Contract Type: Full-time (165 hours per month).

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Senior Therapeutic Carer.

In this role, you will provide one-to-one therapeutic care for children aged 6–17, creating a nurturing environment filled with positivity, fun, and opportunities for growth. Working closely with an experienced team and supportive management, you will play a key role in delivering care that makes a lasting impact.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver therapeutic care tailored to the needs of each child in line with their care plan.
  • Act as a positive role model, ensuring the children feel safe, valued, and supported.
  • Create a warm and enriching home environment where children can thrive.
  • Facilitate social, educational, and leisure activities, including family contact, appointments, trips, and holidays.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete documentation to a high standard.
  • Participate in the day-to-day running of the home, including on-call duties as part of a rota.

Shift Pattern

  • Shifts are 48 hours (occasionally 24 hours), including sleep-ins, followed by rest days to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
  • Rotas are released six weeks in advance and require flexibility to meet the needs of the children and the service.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in residential childcare (essential).
  • Qualifications: Level 3 or equivalent in Residential Childcare (essential).
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license required.
