Key Responsibilities

• Lead and plan daily shifts to ensure children’s individual needs are met effectively.
• Oversee junior staff, delegate tasks, and provide mentorship to enhance team performance.
• Support the development of care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
• Maintain a homely and safe environment that promotes emotional and physical well-being.
• Manage delegated management responsibilities and assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Uphold safeguarding principles and create a welcoming atmosphere where children feel heard and valued.
• Collaborate with external professionals, families, and carers to support children’s best interests.

Requirements

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent
• Experience: At least two years of experience working with children in residential care, including managing learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.
• License: Full UK Driving Licence.
