Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Residential Setting
Location: Waterlooville
Salary: £15.85 per hour

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead by example, ensuring the safety, growth, and happiness of children in your care. You’ll oversee daily activities, provide guidance to junior team members, and create a nurturing environment where children can flourish.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and plan daily shifts to ensure children’s individual needs are met effectively.
- Oversee junior staff, delegate tasks, and provide mentorship to enhance team performance.
- Support the development of care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
- Maintain a homely and safe environment that promotes emotional and physical well-being.
- Manage delegated management responsibilities and assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Uphold safeguarding principles and create a welcoming atmosphere where children feel heard and valued.
- Collaborate with external professionals, families, and carers to support children’s best interests.
Requirements
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent
- Experience: At least two years of experience working with children in residential care, including managing learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.
- License: Full UK Driving Licence.
