Responsible Individual – Children’s Residential Care
Location: Staffordshire
Salary: £72,000 – £85,000 DOE + Car Allowance + Private Medical + Bonus

Are you a senior leader in children’s residential care looking for a role where you can make a real difference? This is a unique opportunity to take regional responsibility for multiple children’s homes, ensuring outstanding care, safeguarding, compliance, and strong outcomes for children.

The Role

As the Responsible Individual (RI), you will:

• Oversee multiple children’s homes in line with regulatory standards.

• Provide governance, assurance, and oversight to leadership teams and regulators.

• Lead, mentor, and develop Registered Managers and their teams.

• Drive trauma-informed, high-quality care and placement stability.

• Ensure services are inspection-ready, compliant, and commercially sustainable.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and regulatory bodies.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an experienced senior leader in children’s residential care with:

• Previous experience as a Responsible Individual, Operations Manager, Area Manager, or equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted standards, and regulatory frameworks.

• Proven ability to lead multi-site or complex services.

• Confidence managing quality, compliance, and commercial performance.

• A resilient, professional, and values-led leadership style.
