Registered Manager | Children’s Residential Home | Buxton
An established provider of therapeutic children’s residential care is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a solo-occupancy home supporting children aged 9–17 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a highly competitive salary and generous benefits package.

As Registered Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality care, leading a committed team, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding standards.

Contract Type – Full-time, Permanent
Salary – £52,000 – £55,500 per annum (dependent on experience)
Experience Requirement – Minimum of 2 years’ experience in children’s home management
About the Role: Registered Manager
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership of the home, creating a safe, nurturing and structured environment
- Lead, manage and support a team of care practitioners and a Deputy Manager
- Oversee recruitment, training, supervision and rota planning
- Ensure all care and support plans, risk assessments, and health protocols are effectively implemented
- Work in partnership with professionals, families and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
- Maintain compliance with The Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted expectations
- Promote a strong safeguarding culture across all areas of service delivery
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)
- Significant experience in children’s residential care, including supervisory or management responsibilities
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and regulatory frameworks
- A confident, resilient leader with strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Must be aged 21 or over (Children’s Homes Regulations requirement)
