About the Role:
An established provider of children’s residential services is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee two homes supporting children and young people with learning disabilities. This role combines strategic oversight with operational leadership, offering the opportunity to shape and strengthen therapeutic, high-quality care environments.
You will take on the role of Responsible Individual, ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and supporting teams to deliver exceptional, person-centred care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational leadership across two Ofsted-regulated LD homes
- Act as Responsible Individual, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory standards
- Lead and support Registered Managers, fostering a culture of learning and high performance
- Promote safeguarding, quality, and therapeutic practice throughout services
- Respond to inspection outcomes and implement effective quality improvement plans
- Build collaborative relationships with local authorities and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and strategic growth of LD services
Requirements:
- Senior-level experience in children’s residential care
- Strong understanding of learning disabilities and complex needs
- In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards)
- Proven ability to lead multiple teams or services
- Commercial awareness with a commitment to quality and values-led practice
