Job Title: Dual Registered Manager

Location: Huddersfield

Salary: £44,000 to £50,000 + Bonuses

Contract Type – Full time (40 hrs per week) Mon- Fri

About the role

To manage two children’s homes, each housing two children, while overseeing a team of 12 staff members. The role involves working alongside nine other RMs within the company, most of whom have progressed internally from Residential Childcare Workers (RCWs) to RMs.

 

Job Description

  • To ensure the safe-guarding of children and duty of care to the carers is at the forefront
    of your work.
  • Providing constant and appropriate supervision and control of children and young people.
  • Partnering with parents, families, carers, and other professionals to advocate for, protect, and improve the welfare of children and young people.
  • To work with the organisation and peers to ensure the professional transition process of
    children admitted and moving on from the home.
  • To ensure that the child’s needs are identified via the treatment plan process and that
    they are reviewed on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of 12 staff members, coordinating efforts with other RMs within the organisation.
  • On-Call Duties: Participate in the on-call rota, currently scheduled 3 times per month, with plans to reduce this to 1-2 times monthly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with clinical partners, including Psychologists, Psychotherapists, and Trauma Therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to child care.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: Open to applications from Deputy Managers with at least one year of experience.
  • Child-Focused: Must align with the company’s child-centric ethos, which extends across 18 children’s homes from Huddersfield to Bury, as well as three therapeutic schools.
  • Presentation Skills: Candidates will be required to present a 20-minute overview of their management style during the interview process. 
  • 1 – 2 years in Residential Child Care as a Deputy Manager.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Child Care
