About the Role
We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our growing team and play a key role in supporting our company to achieve its strategic objectives. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced Area Manager, Operations Manager, or Registered Manager with a proven track record in overseeing multiple children’s residential care homes.
As Operations Manager, you will lead and inspire Registered Managers to deliver outstanding care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for the children in our homes. This is a pivotal leadership role that combines strategic oversight, hands-on support, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent support, supervision, and performance management for Registered Managers, ensuring every child’s needs are met.
- Ensure services deliver outstanding care, meeting both financial and operational goals.
- Liaise with Commissioning and Placement Teams to align care offerings with children’s needs.
- Monitor performance through management reports and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Promote our Vision and Values by modelling best practices in leadership and management.
- Mentor and coach managers to foster their professional development.
What We Offer
- Salary: £63,000–£70,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
- Designated Responsible Individual Status: For a cluster of homes, depending on experience (to be discussed at offer stage).
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility as needed.
- Annual Leave: 33 days inclusive of public holidays.

About You
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with young people with challenging behaviours in residential childcare.
- Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in a care environment, including mentoring, recruitment, and performance management.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services.
- In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Child Protection legislation.
Skills and Attributes:
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle conflict and manage sensitive issues effectively.
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and implement policies.
- A full, valid UK driving license is required.
