Job Title:             Children’s Residential Deputy Manager

Location:             Swandlincote

Salary:                 37k- Starting rate

Requirements

 

·         Must have the right to live and work in the UK

·         Must have experience working in Children’s residential

·         Must hold a Uk driving license

 

About the role

 

·         Assist in developing the skills and potential of residential support workers.

·         Take charge of the effective and efficient management of shifts.

·         Ensure compliance with home and company policies and procedures.

·         Monitor and maintain administrative tasks to meet children’s legislation standards and home practices.

·         Perform ongoing assessments of the daily needs of children and young people.

·         Supervise, oversee, and enhance staff skills in their work routines.

·         Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.

·         Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the home and external agencies.

·         Build relationships and engage with young people displaying challenging behaviour.

·         Maintain the health, safety, and well-being of children and young people at all times.

·         Ensure staff deliver necessary support to meet the social, educational, leisure, emotional, physical, and cultural needs of children and young people.

·         Facilitate the delivery of key worker responsibilities.

·         Implement diverse strategies for behaviour management.

·         Act as a deputy in the absence of the home manager when required.

·         Attend reviews and meetings as necessary.
