Registered Manager | Children’s Residential | Nottingham
We are seeking a committed and experienced Registered Manager to take the lead in running a residential children’s home in Ollerton (Nottingham) supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and complex needs. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment while promoting a high standard of care and supporting staff development.

📍 Location: Ollerton – Nottinghamshire
💷 Salary: £50-59k per annum & bonus’
🕒 Hours: Full-time, Permanent
🧾 Registration: Must be eligible and willing to register with Ofsted
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the full operations of a residential children’s home

Provide a high standard of therapeutic care in line with Ofsted and relevant regulations

Ensure the home is well-staffed, safe, and meets the emotional and developmental needs of young people

Develop and implement care plans, safeguarding procedures, and risk assessments
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, families, and partner agencies
-
Support and supervise staff through regular meetings, training, and performance reviews

Manage rotas and resources effectively

Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections aiming for ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ ratings

Promote a positive culture that supports both staff and young people
Candidate Requirements

preferred: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/management role

Solid understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted framework

Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and child development

Proven ability to lead, manage and inspire a team

Experience supporting children with EBD and/or trauma

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

Full UK Driving Licence
