Home Manager | Elderly Care (Residential / Nursing) | Derbyshire
We’re recruiting for a senior leadership role with a well-established residential and nursing home in Derbyshire. The service supports older adults with a range of clinical needs and is now seeking a confident, experienced Home Manager to step in and take full ownership of the home’s operations, compliance, and team performance.
This is not a turnaround. The bones are there; what’s needed now is someone who can lead with presence, strengthen systems, and keep the home inspection-ready and safe on a day-to-day basis.
Home Manager | Elderly Care (Residential & Nursing) | Derbyshire | £55K + Bonus
As the Home Manager, you will:
- Lead all aspects of care, compliance, audits, staffing, and operational delivery
- Manage a mixed team including Nurses, Clinical Leads, Senior Carers, and the Deputy
- Oversee medication, risk, safeguarding, care planning, and documentation
- Ensure strong working relationships with families, regulators, and local partners
- Take the lead on inspections and quality reviews, with proper backing from the regional team
- Supervise and develop clinical staff, including coaching, reflection, and development planning
- Maintain structure and morale under pressure, and build a culture that works from the inside out
This role would be ideal if you:
- Hold an active NMC pin and have proven leadership experience in a residential or nursing home
- Are already working as a Registered Manager, Clinical Lead, or Deputy Manager with complete clinical oversight
- Understand how to manage the balance between people, paperwork, and compliance
- Have experience handling audits, inspections, and CQC feedback, and know what Good looks like
- Want a role where you can lead confidently, without being micromanaged
