About the Role

Our client, a well-regarded provider of therapeutic residential care, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a 6-bed Outstanding Ofsted-rated children’s home in the Camden area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of children aged 11–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

The successful candidate will be a confident leader, capable of delivering high-quality care and driving continuous improvement, all while maintaining the highest safeguarding and regulatory standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day and strategic leadership to ensure outstanding care delivery.
  • Manage a skilled team to support children in a trauma-informed, therapeutic environment.
  • Oversee rotas, staff supervision, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners to achieve the best possible outcomes for each young person.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.
  • Support a culture of emotional safety, professional accountability, and child-centred practice.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ management experience in a children’s residential care setting.
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of the Children’s Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000, and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Proven staff management, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.

  • Salary up to £65,200 including performance-related bonuses
  • Ofsted Bonus: £3,000 for an Outstanding inspection, £1,500 for a Good inspection
  • Full Occupancy Bonus: £600 per month

  • 32 days’ annual leave, increasing annually over the first three years

  • Local parking permit
  • Government workplace pension (following probation)
  • 6-month probation period
  • 3-month notice period (standard terms, excluding disciplinary matters)
