Registered Manager | Children’s Residential Care | Up to £60,000
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established children’s residential care provider in South London, seeking a confident and experienced Registered Manager to lead one of their high-quality homes.
This permanent, full-time role is an opportunity to take ownership of a stable, well-supported service and lead it forward with the autonomy to make decisions and the backing of a senior leadership team that values your expertise.
If you’re currently managing under pressure and without the tools or support to do the job properly, this could be the move you’ve been waiting for. The provider is known for prioritising quality over speed, consistently supporting their managers, and doing the right thing, not just the easy thing.
As the Registered Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
• Leading and motivating a dedicated team to deliver consistently high-quality, child-centred care
• Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted standards and maintaining inspection readiness
• Building strong relationships with young people, families, stakeholders, and professionals
• Promoting a safe, structured environment that encourages emotional growth and long-term stability
• Supporting staff through clear leadership, mentoring, and continuous development
To be considered, you’ll need:
• Right to work in the UK
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential childcare
• At least 12 months in a supervisory or leadership role
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards it)
• Enhanced DBS clearance
• Full UK driving licence
What you can expect in return:
• A highly competitive salary of up to £60,000
• Autonomy to run the home with confidence — and support when you need it
• A stable, well-resourced environment with a team already in place
• Strong operational and clinical leadership behind the scenes
• Opportunities for continued professional development and long-term career progression
• A provider that values care quality, team stability, and the wellbeing of both staff and young people
