Salary: £55,000 – £60,000k per annum
Bonus: Up to £13,000
We’re looking for a confident, experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established 4-bed mixed-gender children’s home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
This role is suited to a Registered Manager who understands the realities of running a children’s home and is ready to focus on leadership, care quality, and outcomes, without having to do everything alone. You’ll be supported by a strong head office team and a collaborative senior leadership structure.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you’ll have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring safe, therapeutic, and child-centred care in line with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.
You’ll lead a committed staff team, embed trauma-informed practice, and create a stable, nurturing environment where young people can feel safe, supported, and able to progress.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and lead a 5-bed children’s residential home to a high standard of care and compliance

Ensure safeguarding, therapeutic care planning, and risk management are consistently embedded

Lead, supervise, and develop the staff team, promoting reflective and trauma-informed practice

Maintain Ofsted readiness, including audits, Regulation 44 visits, and action plans

Deliver positive outcomes for young people through consistent, relationship-based care

Work closely with the Responsible Individual and Area Manager

Contribute to weekly management meetings and service development
Support & Structure

Centralised head office support covering rotas, HR, recruitment, training, IT, and petty cash

Shared senior on-call rota (1 in 7)

Regular contact with senior leadership and clear governance

An experienced Registered Manager within children’s residential care

NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children & Young People) or working towards

Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and therapeutic practice
