Ofsted Registered Service Manager – Supported Accommodation (EBD, 16–18 Years)

Location: Macclesfield & Edgeley
Salary: £42,500 per annum

We’re looking for a confident, experienced Service Manager to lead multiple supported accommodation homes for 16–18-year-olds with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This is a mixed-gender service where high-quality, therapeutic care is at the heart of everything we do.

This role is ideal for a Manager who understands the realities of running a children’s residential service and is ready to focus on leadership, care quality, and outcomes, while being fully supported by a strong head office team and a collaborative senior leadership structure.

The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring safe, child-centred, and therapeutic care in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.

You’ll lead a committed staff team, embed trauma-informed practice, and create a stable, nurturing environment where young people can feel safe, supported, and able to progress into independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead supported accommodation for 16–18-year-olds, ensuring high standards of care and compliance

  • Ensure safeguarding, therapeutic care planning, and risk management are consistently applied

  • Lead, supervise, and develop your staff team, promoting reflective, trauma-informed practice

  • Maintain Ofsted readiness, including audits, Regulation 44 visits, and action plans

  • Deliver positive outcomes for young people through consistent, relationship-based care

  • Work closely with the Responsible Individual and Area Manager

  • Contribute to weekly management meetings and service development initiatives

Support & Structure

  • Centralised head office support covering rotas, HR, recruitment, training, IT, and petty cash

  • Shared senior on-call rota (1 in 7)

  • Regular contact with senior leadership and clear governance

  • A role designed to support you, not isolate you

What We’re Looking For

  • Experienced Registered Manager within children’s residential or supported accommodation

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children & Young People) or working towards

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and therapeutic practice

  • A confident, calm leader who can motivate and support teams

  • A values-led professional committed to high-quality, child-centred care

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary with performance-related bonus

  • Reduced administrative burden through centralised support

  • Supportive, values-driven senior leadership team

  • Ongoing professional development and therapeutic training

  • A stable service with a clear care ethos

About Us
We are a therapeutic children’s residential care provider committed to safeguarding, healing, and positive outcomes. We believe in consistency, strong relationships, and providing young people with a safe, nurturing environment where they can grow and thrive.
