S.N.G Healthcare is working with a well-established care provider seeking to recruit an experienced and results-driven Home Manager to lead a high-performing residential and dementia care home.

 

This role requires a proven leader with expertise in CQC compliance, staff management, and operational efficiency to maintain or improve the home’s quality ratings and ensure outstanding resident care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full accountability for the home’s operations, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and governance frameworks.
  • Drive and sustain high CQC ratings, implementing robust quality assurance and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor staff teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Ensure financial and operational efficiency, overseeing budgets, occupancy, and staffing resources.
  • Promote outstanding person-centred care, ensuring dignity, safety, and well-being for all residents.
  • Work closely with external regulators and stakeholders, including CQC, local authorities, and healthcare professionals.
  • Implement service improvement plans for homes that require turnaround and maintain high standards in homes rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Registered Home Manager in a residential or dementia care setting.
  • 10+ years’ experience in health and social care, progressing through leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of improving or maintaining ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ CQC ratings.
  • Expertise in staff leadership, compliance auditing, and financial oversight.
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
  • Demonstrated success in crisis management and home turnarounds, particularly for services rated ‘Requires Improvement’.
  • Experience leading large staff teams (50+ employees) in a complex care setting.
