Deputy Manager – Children’s Home
Location: Nottinghamshire (NG13 area)
Salary: £32,448 – £36,400
Shift Pattern:

2-week rolling rota: 2 shifts one week, 3 shifts the next

Shifts are 8:00am to 11:00pm with a paid sleep-in at £70 per night

Includes 4–6 sleep-ins per month
Requirements:
-
NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (Level 5 preferred or willingness to work towards)

Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care
-
1 year in a supervisory or team leader role

Strong knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour support, and trauma-informed practice
-
Full UK driving licence (essential)
About the Role: An outstanding therapeutic provider in Nottinghamshire is seeking a committed and experienced Deputy Manager to help lead one of their highly-rated children’s homes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a service that specialises in trauma-informed care for children aged 5–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You will work closely with the Registered Manager to provide consistent, therapeutic leadership to a dedicated team.
Responsibilities:

Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations and compliance

Lead by example in delivering high-quality, therapeutic care using models such as PACE and DDP

Oversee staff supervision, rota planning, and professional development

Ensure safeguarding and regulatory standards are upheld at all times

Contribute to care planning and ensure the home environment promotes stability, recovery, and growth.
