We’re hiring Support Workers for a brand-new 6-bed children’s home in Lymington, supporting young people aged 4–16 with diagnosed learning disabilities. You’ll be part of a stable, caring team that’s building something meaningful from day one.
The home provides a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where each child is supported to reach their full potential. This is a full-time role offering flexibility across a rota that includes long days, nights, and alternate weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children with daily routines, personal care, and life skills
- Creating a calm, consistent, structured environment
- Building trust, emotional safety, and genuine connection
- Encouraging play, creativity, and community involvement
- Helping children stay connected to the people that matter to them
- Following detailed care plans and recording progress properly
- Being steady, reliable, and safe, especially when things feel messy
Requirements:
· Experience working in children’s residential care or similar (SEN, LD, autism, EBD)
· Comfortable with behaviours that challenge and know how to hold calm boundaries
· Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or open to working towards it)
· Strong communication, emotional intelligence, and teamwork
· Right to work in the UK
· Driver preferred but not essential
